INCUBATOR STAFF

Cathy Davison, Manager

Cathy Davison is the Manager of the Franklin Business Incubator.  She became the incubator’s second Manager in December 2004.  Before coming to the Incubator, Cathy was the Executive Assistant for Franklin’s City Manager and City Attorney, and prior to coming to the City of Franklin; Cathy was a lobbyist for Tidewater Builders Association and a small business owner with her husband, Jim.  Cathy’s experience as a Corporate and Real Estate Paralegal has offered her exceptional experience dealing with small business and corporations alike.

When asked why she and her husband Jim moved to Franklin, Cathy has admitted that their son John brought them here.  Cathy and Jim are from rural communities in Michigan and they wanted to raise John in a similar community.  Franklin has the same “home” feeling as her Michigan hometown.

Cathy currently serves on the Virginia Business Incubation Association’s Board of Directors, as well as VBIA’s Government & Legislative Affairs Committee.  Cathy is also a member of the Franklin Junior Women’s Club.

Cathy received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Legal Studies from Anderson University, in Anderson, Indiana.  She and her husband Jim, live in Franklin with their son, John.  They are members of Franklin Baptist Church, where Cathy is involved in Vacation Bible School, Christian Education Committee and the Chancel Choir and Women's Ensemble.
