Our Mission:

"To save lives, protect property and educate the public."

We the City of Franklin Fire & Rescue Department have the mission to protect the citizens who live, work and visit our area (City of Franklin, Southampton County and Isle of Wight County) from the ravages of fire, accidental injury and sudden illness. This will be accomplished by providing quality services in an effective and cost efficient manner of:

* Quality EMS care and transportation

* Quick and efficient response to any fire, rescue or emergency incident

* Providing education to the public in first aid and fire prevention

* Quick system access in conjunction with Enhanced 911

* Supporting local business and industry through fire prevention and inspection

* Increase departmental knowledge and abilities through continuing education and training

It is the philosophy of the Franklin Fire & Rescue Department that these services will be provided through in-house self help programs that include continuing and coordinating involvement of well-trained volunteers.
